The car seat is wonderful. Little ones rode safely in the back and NOT in my lap! It is high enough for them to see out the window. Both of my dogs are in the 5 lb. range and large is a bit too big, but when it is sitting in our family room all the dogs (4) pile in. It's like their own little sofa!

Comments:
I ordered this car seat for my two Papillons based on the perception given that this was the only one suitable for TWO dogs. However, no matter how I try to strap the seat into my car, it will slide around due to the size of it and the way the seat belt must wrap around it and back again to latch.
To get my dogs used to the car seat, I had them play in it, gave them treats in it and kept it in the house for a few days prior to using it in the house. Then I went only a few houses at a time until they were at ease. By the time I took a longer trip and realized the serious problem, it was past the 30 days return deadline, PLUS I had them playing and eating in it too.
My dogs are FRIGHTENED when it moves so much and I am not convinced at all that it is indeed safe for them when it appears to throw them forward every time I turn or stop, even normally!
As I said, I am confused and extremely disappointed, especially at the price of over $100!
GWL: We are working with this customer to get the seatbelt tightened down much more to prevent it from moving. It can take a lot of tension. Finding the proper position in the car is very important as well as cinching the belts tight. A non-skid piece of rubber, similar to drawer liners, could also help on slippery seats.
