I have a toy chihuahua his neck is 91/2 inch and chest 14inch will this jacket fit him? also how do you take care of it. Bought the iCool dog vest last year didn't stay cold and dried up very hard

A: From the provided measurements, I would try the XXS which has a 14" girth and an 11" neck as if you go up to the next size, the girth increases to 17" and will be much too large. You may take advantage of our 'Right Size Promise' program for this item and I will provide a link to the page that discusses the details below.
In regards to the care of the item, you will want to hand wash using cool water (no salt water) and a mild detergent. Lay flat or hang dry, avoiding direct sunlight as that may be what caused the iCool Vest to harden previously.

Q: Hi, I have the iCool dog vest at the present time, only problem I have is I have to wear his harness underneath I soak it in cold water wring it out put it back in the bag and into the fridge not the freezer, is this OK? we live in the desert by the time I walk him over to the end of the complex his jacket on top is dry. reason I am asking I am thinking of this jacket would it be OK to put in the fridge to keep cold and wet thought it maybe better for him as the coat has a ring on top for leash

A: Cooling it in the fridge should be okay. We would caution, though, that putting a 40-degree wet jacket on your dog may cause them some body shock and discomfort. Please make sure your dog doesn't react negatively by zipping up a very cold jacket on him.

Q: Hi just measured him again and behind his front legs area he is 15 inch so I guess I would need to get the xsmall would that be right, I am returning the cool pad and wanted to exchange it for that jacket at the same time, thanks for your response in advance
