FAQ's:
I have a male dog, will he use it without a place to
mark?
Male dogs will still lift their legs and urinate into the air. Their
intention is to mark territory.
How often do I clean it?
Everyone has different standards for cleaning so it is really a personal
preference. We do recommend picking up solids so your dog does not step in
their own waste and track it.
Is it easy to empty?
It is quite simple to empty providing you do not let the receptacle fill to
the top with urine. Remove the grass and drainage grate and dispose of the
urine outdoors or pour down a drain.
How do I keep the urine from spilling?
There are several low costs ways of absorbing the urine so that you do not
have spillage issues. We recommend using a small amount of kitty litter,
(crystal, not clay type) newspapers, or paper towels.
Will the urine freeze in the winter?
Yes, urine will freeze, but it will not stick to the bottom of the tray.
How long will the grass last?
The synthetic grass has a lifetime warranty under normal use. The warranty
does not cover damage caused by harsh chemicals or damage caused from
excessive digging, clawing, or chewing.
After washing, will the scent disappear?
Yes, the attractant will eventually fade because your dog will cover the
scent with their own. This is known as marking. The reason our attractant
works so well is that dogs want to replace the scent with their own.
Will my dog stop using it once the scent is washed away?
Not if he/she is used to using a Pup-Head™.
Can I use it out doors even in cold weather?
Extreme weather conditions will not affect the Pup-Head™.
Can I hose it down in freezing weather?
As long as you have running water you can hose it off in freezing weather.
You might want to let it dry completely indoors so that the unit does not
freeze over before it dries.
Can I take it on an airplane?
Yes, Pup-Head™ fits perfectly in the overhead storage compartment.
How big is Pup-Head™?
20" X 20" X 1.1"
How much does Pup-Head™ weigh?
Approximately 3.2 lbs
CARING FOR YOUR PUP-HEAD:
The plastic receptacle will hold almost 2 gallons of liquids. Remove any solid waste from grass. Remove Pup-Grass from grate and tray, empty any liquid material. Put grate back in tray and rinse thoroughly with water. To remove any residual urine odors we recommend using UrineOff. An alternative is to use a solution of ¼ cup of household bleach to 5 gallons of water. Soak mat for approximately 3 minutes and rinse with clean water. Hang mat to allow water to drain off quickly or place in dryer on air cycle for 20 minutes.

This is just the right size for my little guy. He adapted to the change from disposable pads to this grass mat instantly. The pads were a problem because he would get frisky when I wasn't home and start to drag and tear the pads. That doesn't happen with this more substantial tray and grass pad. I'm very pleased with the product. Indoor Potty Grass

I have used the indoor potty grass for several years and the product works great. My dogs use the grass (most of the time) and it's easy to clean. The 20 x 20 sixe is rather small. Use only for very small dogs! My kitties love it too...

As soon as I put the pup head mini together, my little chi (12 weeks) sniffed and circled and used it. I've been having difficulty keeping him to the one spot to go potty, as he refuses to use puppy pads. This has seemed to work, though not consistently for me as unfortunately, my two burmese cats have also opted to use it, for both no. 1's and 2's which turned the puppy off it. I have since washed it a few times and placed it on one of his favorite spots to go, and he has started using it again. All in all, it is an effective solution for an apartment dog, although after washing it seems to shed quite a bit of grass. Not sure if this is because the cats tried to dig on it and loosened the fibers. I would recommend this product to anyone with a small dog, especially if you you don't have cats! A Godsend!

My little Yorkie goes outside but in between walks she likes to go inside on a pee pee pad. Seeing the little circles of pee on the pads was so disgusting. So I purchased this indoor potty and placed a dirty pad inside. She used it right away! Now I just change the pad every day and I don't have to worry about seeing the pad or her stepping on the pee before it's absorbed. The grass itself does get a little stinky so I'm ordering an extra replacement grass right now for when I'm washing one there's a dry one ready to use. Great product! READ MORE REVIEWS »»»»
