Like all things treasured, each piece must be cared for in order to preserve the natural beauty of the wood. Listed are recommended caring tips to aid in sustaining the beauty of your rubberwood product:
- Although rubberwood is both durable and mold resistant, we recommend that you dust regularly using a damp, soft cloth, then hand-drying with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not clean the wood surface with harsh abrasives or cleansers containing ammonia or organic solvents as these may damage the lacquer finish. We recommend using mild detergent and warm water, then hand- drying with a soft, dry cloth.
- Because wood typically “clouds” when exposed to liquids for an extended period of time, wipe up spills immediately with a dry, soft cloth.
- Wood products should not be placed in areas that receive exposure to direct sunlight or heating/cooling ducts for long periods of time. The variations in temperature are neither good for the wood nor your pet.
- We encourage you to care for and enjoy the simple beauty of your rubberwood product; your pet will love you for it!
