Measuring:
     The best fit for your new steps is to measure the height of the furniture and subtract 2 to 5 inches. Match this up to the closest height measurement for the 3, 4, or 5-step. It's not necessary for the top step to be even with the furniture.  

Assembly:
     Your new pet stairs will arrive with the foam and your choice of cover in the same box. With the cover unzipped and upside down, position the single top step piece in first. It's important to recognize this piece is not square, and the longest side should be positioned up and down, and not sideways. With the top step properly in place the remaining steps will fit much better.

     Similar to stuffing a cushion, or bed, work each piece of foam into position and smooth the fabric into place so the seams are matching up with the foam corners. A light blast of silicone spray, if you have any on hand, will make it easier to work the foam into place.

     If you are positioning your steps on a slippery floor, there is a Velcro strip on the bottom with adhesive. This may not be compatible with all floors and may leave a residue, so please use with caution on certain surfaces.

Additional Hi-Riser covers are available if you wish to change yours or have some on hand. Rotate them for cleaning, change of seasons, or re-decorating your home.
