Little Dogs with Big Healing Hearts
Raizel, age two, and Zeesee, age nine, are first cousins and AKC purebred Brussels Griffons. These special Griffy Girls are certified Delta Society Pet Partners and AKC Good Citizens who love, comfort and inspire people of all ages. Raizel and Zeesee serve their community on the PAC Team at UCLA Medical Center and the PAA Team at Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center . They create rapport with patients in the ICU, PICU, Dialysis, Geriatrics and Psychiatric Wards. In addition, they visit sites monthly in Los Angeles and brighten the atmosphere in senior day care for Alzheimer and dementia patients, nursing facilities, Exceptional Children’s Foundation, Children’s Literacy Programs and the Wadsworth VA Hospital locked psychiatric wards. The Griffy Girls have appeared on T.V. shows and stay healthy with organic meals and acupuncture. Fruits and veggies are their favorite snacks!
Raizel and Zeesee are well rounded, highly trained, compassionate pets who love to serve and live to unconditionally accept everyone they meet. Dr. Judy Bin-Nun, PhD, MFT, their fortunate owner and handler, and her “Therapets”, plan new challenges – especially Raizel who awaits training as a member of an Animal Assisted Crisis Response Team.
